Main Issues Report and Environmental Report Consultation 2010
The Main Issues Report Consultation will commence on Monday 12th April 2010, and will last for 12 weeks. Alongside the Main Issues Report comments will be sought on the accompanying Environmental Report and draft Equalities and Human Rights Impact Assessment. All documents are being published 2 weeks ahead of the formal consultation commencing, which provides the opportunity to view documents and to consider the Environmental Report alongside the Main Issues Report. Comments on the Environmental Report can be made from 30th March until 2nd July.
All documents are available for reference at all local libraries/access offices/local offices within the TAYplan area as well as online.
CONSULTATION
What is this?
The Main Issues Report considers the big changes that will shape the next 20 years of our lives. It focuses on the key issues for the Proposed Plan (the next stage). It is not a draft Plan. It presents options for the preferred scale of growth and where development should and should not be. Your views are sought on these and other issues. Engagement is more effective at this stage because the options are still open; they are less so later in the Plan process.
How can I get involved?
This is the key stage for everyone to get involved and make their comments to help shape the next stage of the plan process - the Proposed Plan (programmed to be published May 2011).
Public information events are being held across the TAYplan area to explain the Main Issues Report and related documents. These will run between 4th May and 8th June 2010. Details of locations, dates and venues are within our posters and leaflets which are being distributed to assist in advertising the events (click to download).
How can I respond to this consultation?
Consultation responses are encouraged through an online questionnaire. To take part in this and make your views known please register your details (see below). An online demonstration is also available, click here. If you are unable to access this or complete the questionnaire online please contact us on 01382 307180 and we will provide a hard copy and upload for you when returned. Consultants, developers and others can attach documents to their questionnaire submission and these submissions should be made online. The consultation is designed in this way to assist in speeding up the Plan making process.
How can I get more information on the consultation?
