TAYplan publishes updated timescales and participation statement
The Development Plan Scheme has been revised which provides an overview of the Plan's process, the participation statement on how people can get involved and what TAYplan will be doing to encourage this. This document is not lengthy and provides a good overview of what TAYplan does, key timescales and information.
TAYplan wins national award for the Main Issues Report
A PLAN setting out a framework for growth, development and opportunities in four council areas has picked up a national award. The TAYplan Main Issues Report won an award in the Scottish Government's annual Scottish Awards for Quality in Planning.

A Development Plan covering four council areas and the next twenty years has been short listed for a top industry award. TAYplan's Strategic Development Plan is one of 34 finalists across nine categories in the prestigious UK Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) planning awards.
Joint Committee 16th February considers Proposed Plan
The Proposed Strategic Development Plan will be considered at the Joint Committee on 16th February 2011 together with other documents. The Proposed Plan has been prepared taking account of all comments submitted at the Main Issues Report stage earlier in 2010.
Deadline Looms for Representations
With only a fortnight to go until the end of a mammoth consultation on the future of development in four council areas, people are being urged to take part. August 1st will be the final chance to agree, disagree or suggest changes to the strategic document that will shape the future of development in four council areas.

TAYplan submits Proposed Plan to Scottish Ministers
A Development Plan covering four council areas and the next 20 years has taken a step closer to being approved. TAYplan's proposed strategic development plan has been submitted to Scottish Government ministers for approval. Cllr John Beare, TAYplan convener said: "I am delighted that the hard work and efforts of a great number of people has brought the plan to the stage of submission to ministers."

TAYplan Proposed Plan period for representations announced
The TAYplan Joint Committee have set out the dates for representations to be made to the Proposed Plan and Proposed Action Programme, which will follow approval of the Plan and related documents in February-May 2011.
Period for Representations Commences
A FINAL chance to agree, disagree and suggest changes to one of the most important planning documents for more than a decade starts today (MONDAY). The TAYplan Proposed Strategic Development Plan Period for Representations will feature a series of information events across the area from tomorrow (TUESDAY) for the next eight weeks.

TAYplan planner scoops industry UK award
A TAYplan Planner has been selected by her peers for a prestigious professional award. Lorna Shand, 23 from Glenrothes has won an award for outstanding student achievement in the recent UK national Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Awards. Lorna, who works as a planning officer with TAYplan, impressed tutors at Heriot-Watt University on her MSc in urban and regional planning course with her ability to apply spatial planning theories to working practice and then develop creative and practical solutions.
TAYplan seeks customer feedback on website
Customers comments on the TAYplan website are being sought. All comments will assist in identifying improvements to the website. Please advise us of your views by completing a 5 minute questionnaire.
Proposed Plan approved
TAYplan's Proposed Strategic Development Plan and related documents have now been approved by the 4 constituent Councils. The period for representations will commence on 6th June for a period of 8 weeks.
Period for Representations Ends
An 8 week period for making representations to the TAYplan Proposed Plan, Proposed Action Programme and Equalities and Human Rights Impact Assessment has closed.
