Recent NewslettersTAYplan Newsletter December 2011 Proposed Strategic Development PlanThe Proposed Plan is the key stage where the Strategic Development Planning Authority sets out its provisional views as to what the final content of the Plan should be. This is then the basis of an 8 week period for representations. The Plan is focused on delivering sustainable economic growth for the area through shaping better quality places and responding to climate change, as set out in the vision. The 8 policies and proposals contained within the Plan set out the spatial strategy over the next 20 years of where development should and should not go and how new development should be achieved. Greenhouse Gas Regional Inventory Programme: TAYplan (May 2011)TAYplan GRIP Study (May 2011) was undertaken by the University of Manchester for TAYplan and Scottish Enterprise. It examines the possible contributions that various changes in behaviour can make towards meeting the targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions set out in the Climate Change (Scotland) Act 2009. TAYplan Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (May 2011)In developing the regional strategy for the TAYplan area the need to give careful consideration to the implications of coastal/tidal and fluvial or river based flooding has been recognised. Working with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency the TAYplan Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) (May 2011) has been developed to inform and guide the location for new development and minimise the risk of flooding. TAYplan Housing AnalysisTAYplan Housing Analysis Paper (February 2011) has been prepared to inform the Proposed Plan. This is a background document. This document sets out the background information that will be used in the preparation of the Environmental Report.
TAYplan Housing Needs and Demand Assessment (HNDA)The TAYplan Housing Needs and Demand Assessment was submitted to the Centre for Housing Analysis (Scottish Government) in January 2010 and they confirmed on 17th January 2011 that the HNDA is robust and credible.
