Examination Completed

TAYplan submitted the Proposed Strategic Development Plan to Scottish Ministers on 1st December.  The Reporters have now made their recommendations to Scottish Ministers.  A decision on the Plan is awaited.  The Reporters recommendations can be accessed at http://www.dpea.scotland.gov.uk/CaseDetails.aspx?id=qJ14349 

Accessing Examination Information

The DPEA determined which information was publically available.  Information and updates can be accessed through their website at http://www.dpea.scotland.gov.uk/CaseDetails.aspx?id=qJ14349. Where can I view the Proposed Plan and other documents proposed to be submitted?

Copies of the Proposed Plan (June, 2011) is available within all libraries as a reference document in the TAYplan area. The Note of Representations (part thereof) can be viewed on this website or at the 5 Planning Offices (Dundee House, TAYplan Office, Cupar, Perth, and Forfar). The majority of documents submitted to Scottish Ministers are availble on this website (click here for publications).

TAYplan were not required to publish the actual representations which were received nor the library documents, however a hard copy has been made available for inspection at the TAYplan office together with copies of all the documents submitted. If you would like to view these between 9am and 5pm weekdays please contact the TAYplan office on 01382 307180.

What is an examination?

The examination is to independently test the issues arising from the representations made on the Proposed Strategic Development Plan. It focused on the issues raised rather than every individual representation. The format can vary and take the form of hearing sessions or be done by correspondence. There were no oral hearings during the TAYplan examination.

What happens after the examination?

The Reporters send a report to Scottish Ministers setting out their recommendations.  This was published on 17th April 2012.  A deicsion is now awaited from Scottish Ministers within the next 3 months.
