Joint Committee 16th February considers Proposed Plan

February 8th, 2011

The Proposed Strategic Development Plan will be considered at the Joint Committee on 16th February 2011 together with other documents. The Proposed Plan has been prepared taking account of all comments submitted at the Main Issues Report stage earlier in 2010.

All of the TAYplan Joint Committee papers for 16th February 2011 can be accessed by clicking here.

The Proposed Strategic Development Plan and the Proposed Action Programme are accompanied by: the Schedule of TAYplan's Responses to Comments received at the Main Issues Report stage; the Habitats Regulations Appraisal; the Equalities and Human Rights Impact Assessment; and 7 background Topic Papers.  The Joint Committee will also consider the Revised Development Plan Scheme.

These documents are versions to be considered by the Joint Committee and on approval, thereafter by the 4 constituent Councils through to mid May 2011.  The documents will then be published in their final state ahead of the period of representations commencing on 6th June 2011 for a period of 8 weeks.

All comments received to the Main Issues Report were published in August 2010.  To view a copy of the consultation comments please click here.  In addition copies are available for referencing in the Planning Authorities offices as well as some libraries/access/local offices (details on the 'Consultations' page of the website).  TAYplan has now considered all of these comments and a short response has been prepared to each question comment in the Schedule of TAYplan's Responses to Comments Received at the Main Issues Report stage.  This schedule will be considered by the TAYplan Joint Committee and four constituent Councils through to mid May 2011 and will be published as an approved version shortly thereafter.
