TAYplan Scoops Quality in Planning Award

November 6th, 2014

TAYplan has scooped an award for community involvement at the prestigious Scottish Awards for Quality in Planning.

TAYplan received the accolade for community involvement thanks to its engagement with young people through schools workshops and the appointment of young place makers. TAYplan’s work and commitment to the youth camp was given specific recognition by the judges. TAYplan undertook all of its engagement work with support from Planning Aid Scotland (PAS).

At the ceremony, held in Edinburgh yesterday (5 November), the award was collected by Councillor Will Dawson (convenor of TAYplan), Pamela Ewen (TAYplan Manager) and Katy Rodger (one of TAYplan’s young placemakers).

The Scottish Awards for Quality in Planning are held every year to showcase the best in professional practice in the public and private sectors. The overall winner was the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games – The Athletes’ Village.
