Final chance to comment on key Plan begins 11 May 2015

May 11th, 2015

THE FINAL chance to agree, disagree and put forward any changes to one of the region’s key planning documents will begin today, 11th May.

The Period for Representations has begun for the TAYplan Proposed Strategic Development Plan which sets out how the Dundee City Region will develop and grow over the next 20 years.

A number of information events will be held across the region over the next eight weeks where local residents will be able to find out about the Proposed Plan and what it means (click here to see our event leaflet).

TAYplan is the Strategic Development Planning Authority. It was set up in 2008 to create a strategy for major building work in Dundee, Angus, Perth and Kinross and North/East Fife.

The Period for Representations gives people a final opportunity to say whether they agree or disagree with any part of the Proposed Strategic Development Plan, and where they feel changes should be made. Visit www.tayplan-sdpa.gov.uk/tayplan2015 to view and comment on the Proposed Plan.

To find out more, come along to one of our events, held from 3.30pm to 7pm in the following places:

Forfar - Reid Hall - Tuesday 19th May 2015 - click here for details

Perth - Perth Concert Hall - Wednesday 20th May 2015 - click here for details

Cupar - Corn Exchange - Thursday 28th May 2015 - click here for details

Dundee - Wellgate Central Library - Wednesday 3rd June 2015 - click here for details

These events will provide an opportunity for interested parties to view the Proposed Strategic Development Plan and discuss any issues arising with the TAYplan team and local authority staff.

The Proposed Plan is available at all public libraries and council planning and area/local/access offices in the TAYplan area. You can also view it and make a response through the online portal at: www.tayplan-sdpa.gov.uk/tayplan2015

Further information can be found on www.tayplan-sdpa.gov.uk

All comments must be received by 12 noon on Friday 3rd July 2015.
