WITH ONLY a fortnight to go until the end of a mammoth consultation on the future of development in four council areas, people are being urged to take part.

August 1st will be the final chance to agree, disagree or suggest changes to the strategic document that will shape the future of development in four council areas.

Following approval of the Proposed Strategic Development Plan by TAYplan, the Strategic Development Planning Authority, an eight week Period for Representations kicked off on June 6.

Since then communities across Dundee, Perth and Kinross, Angus and north east Fife have played host to information events and a travelling display explaining the background to the plan.

The proposed plan, which will replace existing council structure plans when it is approved by Scottish Ministers, will set out a framework for growth in the Dundee City Region.

So far householders, landowners, developers and other interested parties have taken the opportunity to say whether they agree or disagree with any part of the Proposed Strategic Development Plan, and to let TAYplan know where changes should be made.

There is a still a chance to take part in the Period for Representations online by filling in a questionnaire at www.tayplan-sdpa-consult.limehouse.co.uk/portal
