TAYplan, PAS and Dundee University Meeting with Young People from Grove Academy this week
February 19th, 2015TAYplan are holding a one-day Youth Camp which will provide pupils with the opportunity to influence places they live, study and work by taking part in exciting interactive workshops and digital visualisation projects (using Minecraft).
As preparation for TAYplan’s annual one-day Youth Camp we would like to give a short introduction to the concept of planning and placemaking to stimulate interest (from both pupils and teachers) in schools attending the Youth Camp. This short presentation will also introduce a digital placemaking project (through Minecraft) that pupils can familiarise themselves with in the months leading up to the Youth Camp (and also up-skill teachers).
This week young people from Arbroath Academy and Montrose Academyt will be involved.
The Youth Camp is open to all age groups but particularly S3-S4 who are interested in geography and planning as a career.
The Youth Camp will provide 40 pupils from across the TAYplan area the opportunity to influence places they live, study and work by taking part in exciting interactive workshops. TAYplan is working with PAS (Planning Aid Scotland) and the University of Dundee to deliver this event.
