TAYplan-wide Joint Housing Need and Demand Assessment (2013)

Date 19/12/13

The TAYplan-wide Joint Housing Need and Demand Assessment (2013) has been prepared jointly by TAYplan and Angus, Dundee City, Fife and Perth & Kinross Councils. It helps us to understand the housing market and the anticipated scale of need and demand for affordable and market housing in the future.

The project was submitted to the Scottish Government's Centre for Housing Market Analysis (CHMA) on 19 December 2013 and, after an evaluation exercise, CHMA sought minor changes that did not affect the conclusions drawn. These changes were subsequently made and the material was re-submitted and confirmed as robust and credible on 24 February 2014.

All material in the Housing Need and Demand Assessment is set out below in a series of chapters and appendices.

Prior to the main work TAYplan and the four councils completed a housing market area refresh exercise that considered new information to understand whether the existing housing market areas were appropriate and the extent of the Greater DUndee Housing Market Area. This was completed in September 2012 and can be seen below. It is also Appendix 5 to the Housing Need and Demand Assessment.

The conclusions of the TAYplan-wide Joint Housing Need and Demand Assessment (2013) have informed the preparation of the TAYplan Main Issues Report (2014).
