In spring 2013 TAYplan commissioned Roderick MacLean Associates Ltd to prepare a Strategic Review of Town Centres and Retailing in the TAYplan Area.
This research informed the TAYplan Main Issues Report (2014) on key strategic issues associated with town centres in the TAYplan area. The review requires a holistic approach to town centre policy and not simply focus on retailing. For example, this requires looking at factors such as attractiveness of town centres as places to visit, invest and live and work. In addition, the exercise suggests a consistent and standardised method of collecting data on town centres to monitor the health of the centres.

This is the appraisal of TAYplan-wide Joint Housing Need and Demand Assessment 2013 was published the Scottish Government's Centre for Housing Market Analysis (CHMA) on 20 January 2014. It was prepared following submission of the TAYplan-wide Joint Housing Need and Demand Assessment on 19 December 2013. The appraisal seeks a series of minor amendments which seek clarity on several points and the correction of typographical errors. These changes were subsequently made and the amended TAYplan-wide Joint Housing Need and Demand Assessment (2013) was reusbmitted to CHMA in February 2014.

In Autumn 2013 TAYplan commissioned Oxford Economics to prepare an Economic Outlook for the TAYplan area. This work was completed in January 2014. It considers local, national and global economic influences on the TAYplan region and makes forecasts for future employment. It also considers the judgements made for scenarios examination in the TAYplan-wide Joint Housing Need and Demand Assessment (2013).
This study has helped to inform the TAYplan Main Issues Report (2014).

This is Appendix 5 of the TAYplan-wide Joint Housing Need & Demand Assessment (2013). It contains the TAYplan Joint Housing Market Area Refresh Exercise completed in September 2012. This examined new information to determine whether the housing market areas defined before 2012 remained appropriate and considered the extent of the Greater Dundee Housing Market Area.
